I find this to be a valuable app for doing research on NCBI websites. It is convenient and easy to use on my iPad.
Very powerful way to explore and find journal articles! Highly recommended!
Very useful!
Currently working as an LPN and going to school for RN. This is a great app on my phone for researching topics for class.
Great for looking up research on the iPad.
Through mandatory account creation. Not worth using.
Would be nice to be able to execute batch email and download abstracts and PDFs.
Interface is attractive but too limited. Cant perform complex searches (i.e., specify author and abstract + title word and year). This could be overlooked if there was a way to manage PDFs. As is, one can only view PDF files or, if theres a PMC version, you can email it or save to Dropbox. Two stunning omissions are (1) the capability to open PDFs in another app (since theres no library or annotation tools) and (2) you can only export the PMC PDF, not the publishers PDFs. Assuming you have access, you can open the publishers PDF, look at it, then just close the window. A suggestion to the developer, run this past a pubmed user next time.
Excellent reference source. Thanks for a great App.
I have found this app incredibly useful in researching therapies and treatment for Down Syndrome which is my area of interest. The interface is simple and easy to use which may sacrifice more complex academic searches but that is not what I use it for. This brings medical research into the non-geek arena. I like the feature to save favorites and the links between different articles. It also takes you directly to full text when it is available. I have been looking for an app that does what unbound does for the longest time and am relieved to have found it. A plus in my book . If they add too many features it would make it unwieldy. I like it just the way it is!
Love the way I can save searches. Perhaps improve the search function where I can do an AND function on 2 searches, similar to pubmeds advanced search? Great app.
Great user interface and workflow. Excellent look and feel. It would be helpful to number references and to note those youve already saved. For someone who doesnt have access to journals through an academic affiliation its a great alternative.
Why do I need to create an account to search Medline? Stupid!
This works very nicely to search and display full text. Price is right, too!
Found the citation, but only pulled up abstract. How do I get full article? In this new internet age, medical and scientific information should be available to all - especially since as a taxpayer I probably paid for most of the research.
Highly informative, multi level best app I have used in years. CUDOS.
Over an hour ago, I googled a medical interplay between two related diseases and their joined side effects. The "most related" article included a link to this website, so I hit on the link and arrived to the site to be told I needed to both install the app and become a member. Because of the relevance of the article, I joined. After doing so, I tried to access the article. I used the same call words, the authors names, less pointed wording and finally, actually pulled sentences from the apps own descriptive paragraph linking me to the site in the first place. NOTHING HAS WORKED. So, having wasted more than an hour on my life I decided to act the Good Samaritan and save you the efforts I out laid. But, heres the thing! After I wrote the bad review, originally entitled "awful" I was told my nickname was already used and then my whole review disappeared. This time I copied it first and will keep trying nicknames til I find one it will allow!!
Very useful for researching pubmed
dont think thats nessary
